I love to read books from other cultures, and see/ hear their stories. This one is a great story of how night and day work together, but also about how we can work together regardless of our skin color. The little girl is able to find herself though her culture and her dream.

So I happened to grab a Popsicle out of my freezer between books. This fits perfectly for this prompt.
I loved this book. It is super simple for those early readers, and had more content for those more advanced readers.

I am going to try to find new to me picture and short stories to fill in the summer fun jr bingo card. My first pick was Saturday.
I loved this book! It walked through how a mother and daughter spent and entire day together, and nothing seemed to go right, but in the end they had a blast just being together.

I have loved most of Katie DiCamillo books I have read. I picked this one up because it was on my campreadlot list. After I was done, I found out it was the 3rd book in a trilogy. There were parts of it, I wonder if I had read the first two I would have understood better, but oh well.
Over all it was a great audio listen in the car

This cute graphic novel was an easy read. It was a fun adventure of two unexpected boys following lanterns. I loved how they discovered and showed off the stars and constellations. Not sure I would recommend this to a 2nd graders, maybe 4th or 5th.
