pick🐦⬛This middle grade book takes place in St. Louis in the early 1800s so of course I had to read it on our trip. It was the perfect choice - after a day reading about the history of St. Louis it was fun to go there in a fiction world and see it all brought to life.
🚧 The language used to describe non white people is fitting for the time, not our modern era.
