Ugh, chapter 8 is overly graphic and taking away from my initial enjoyment. The coarseness seems overdone and intentionally shocking. The language is harsh and vulgar. I‘m not a prude but this feels like the author is looking to make readers talk....and I guess it‘s working because here I am talking about it.

Cinfhen There was that beginning part with the BDSM which was tough but I managed @Branwen and then I was really “enjoying” this book until I got halfway through chapter 8... it‘s SO hardcore! I feel like I didn‘t sign up for that @sace 😬I skipped and now I‘m back to listening to chapter 9 which feels more manageable 😆 5y

Cinfhen It‘s not a book I would easily recommend @KatieB but there were some ( mostly) beautiful storytelling in these pages. So it‘s a mixed bag. Chapter 8 felt EXCESSIVE but the rest of the book while still graphic at times wasn‘t as unsettling. If you‘re still curious maybe give it a go?!?! 5y
