Jumping into #10beforetheend hosted by @ChaoticMissAdventures . I‘m currently reading numbers 9 and 10. I‘ve been meaning to read numbers 1, 2 and 3 for months. The rest are for #LitsyAtoZ.

I can‘t believe there are only 10 weeks left in this year!

This is my first book by Molly Harper. I‘m really enjoying it so far. Paranormal books in audio format are real hit or miss for me. Sometimes the narration is just not good. I‘m glad that‘s not the case here. I‘ll definitely be giving more Molly Harper books a try.

A pick. I read this for #childrensclassicread2025 hosted by @TheBookHippie . Turns out it was an excellent refresher of events an people that‘s enhancing my reading of I, Tituba Black Witch of Salem.

Diving into this one. (Among others. I really need to learn how to focus on one book at a time.)

While searching for this one I discovered tons of others I had sort of forgotten which always reminds me that I really don‘t need to buy any new books. My collection is vast (and disorganized). Needless to say I always end up buying new books anyway. I bought some this morning as a matter of fact. 🙄

@BookmarkTavern already tagged the first book that popped into my head. Luckily I had the tagged book as a very close second. The pirate story is a novel within the novel.

Not book related, but I‘m so proud of my tortilla de patatas.

I tried this #audiobook a few years ago and I couldn‘t get into it. I‘m trying it again and really enjoying it. Sometimes timing is everything.

I‘ve seen the movie and I‘ve had this book on my shelves forever. I was glad it was a #LiteraryCrew pick. That being said, there have been some pretty explicit episodes and not in a way I can tolerate. It feels more like stupid male fantasy writing and does not enhance the story. Am I alone in this? I swear I‘m not a prude! The nature of it just makes me roll my eyes and exclaim “C‘mon dude! Really?”

My #augustwrapup looks pretty grim when compared to July, but compared to last August I am on 🔥!

This was a so-so listen. Maybe this wasn‘t the right time for me. I have read so many books about knitting since I took up the craft again in the early 2000s. It starts to feel like there‘s not really anything new. I will say this book got me wanting to knit again.

2nd time reading this. It will always be a 5 ⭐️ for me.

When @Robotswithpersonality posted their review of this manga I went searching in my kindle since I had a vague memory of purchasing this. Lo and behold there it was in my library. I enjoyed this one and the art. I now wish I had sprung for the physical copy so I could have given the art the admiration is deserves.

I‘ve been looking forward to this #authoramonth all year. This was a childhood fave. To read it as an adult and all the knowledge that comes with being an adult gave it an added slightly darker layer.

I loved Jupiter Jones as the mentor. He gave very Willy Wonka vibes with more heart. Morrigan was vulnerable and had self doubts yet still came off as a strong person. I‘ve already put the second book on hold.

Reading in the waiting room for my mammogram. TV is really loud. And yes, I made an almost identical post before last year‘s mammogram. I guess it‘s a tradition now.

It wasn‘t a terrible book to pass the time with. I like the concept (ghost come back to help his detective partner solve his murder). The writing is bland. The characters a little meh. Probably could have used some editing for clarity. Still, I won‘t completely write off the series. Maybe I‘ll read the second book.

I thought this was a cute book. I‘m always a fan of the found family trope. I was a little taken aback by the secret that was being kept but it worked. It felt a little bit like a variation on The House in the Cerulean Sea.

This wasn‘t as good as I remember it being. I still liked it, but my memory of my last read was nicer than the rereading experience. It felt slow…but not a kind of good slow. I liked Margret and Agnes. Soft pick. I‘m looking forward to the discussion and insights from others.

My Jewish practice is really not the best, but lately I‘ve been trying to reserve Friday nights for Jewish reading. This is my current Friday night read. #shabbatshalom

I give up. While I have so far had a lot of success with #authoramonth this one is just not for me. It‘s time to #hailthebail.

Library hold came in! I read this years ago (pre-Litsy I think). I can‘t wait to read it with @Librarybelle and the #LiteraryCrew.

I chose the tagged book for July #authoramonth, but I wasn‘t having any luck with just an eyeball read or just listening. So now I am following along in the book while I listen and it seems to be helping.
