Sorry @SkeletonKey I fell behind on reading TEoFaS. I caught the flu last Friday and it took another 3-4 days until I felt somewhat normal. I‘ll be devoting this Friday and the weekend to, if not finish the book at least be further along than where I‘m bookmarked at.

Texreader Glad to hear you are feeling better. So sorry to hear you were so sick! 4y
SkeletonKey No worries! Glad you‘re feeling a little better, take your time. 4y

Finished the first book today. Funny how it‘s both ahead of its time but also very dated in its discussion of gender. It reminded me of when I tried to rewatch Queer as Folk... at the time it was revolutionary but I forgot about the sexism.

I love the world building in this, I could get lost in that forever, but somehow I had forgotten about women being cast aside. Still a good read.

Must take a break before the next one.

@AnansiGirl

Megabooks I‘ve never read this book but I get what you‘re saying re: Queer As Folk. 4y
SkeletonKey @Megabooks - Glad it‘s not just me! It‘s too bad, the show would be great otherwise. 4y
Megabooks Absolutely! The show was groundbreaking then, but like a lot of TV shows, the world has changed in the meantime. 4y

I‘ve read a few books by Storm Constantine , but somehow never gotten around to reading the Wraeththu mythos, her most popular work. I‘m joining @SkeletonKey in reading through this trilogy.

SkeletonKey Which others have you read? I think I‘ve only done the Wraeththu books and Thin Air so far. 4y
SconsinBookyBadger @SkeletonKey I‘ve read the Mangravadias series, The Oracle Lips, and I was a few chapters in with Stalking Tender Prey when I unfortunately lost the book during a move. 4y

The reread begins. I realized it‘s been over 20 years since I read this the first time. WHERE DOES THE TIME GO. Swallowed up by who knows what.

@AnansiGirl is joining me in this read as well.

I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new. Don‘t judge me - I have a lot of books. Join the fun if you want.
