pickWhile generally a good read, I felt this book could have been great. The protagonist definitely annoyed me at times, and someone had an irritating air of entitlement.
The general plot and mystery was solid but I wanted more about the sirens and about their background. I felt like there was an awesome created that could have been expanded and made into something more.
Violin music,island beaches,a lighthouse,old childhood friends now grown apart by secrets,Sirens calling people to their death with beautiful song, (reminiscent of the Odyssey‘s sirens that Odysseus faced)possible murder, all revealed within the first 42 pages of this YA book.
