I love a food writer who grows-their-own, cooks seasonally and embraces local producers so Nigel Slater is my man! This recipe from his kitchen diaries for partridge or any other small game bird is perfectly seasonal, and looks delicious... plus it‘s perfect for today‘s prompt...

DebinHawaii Great pick! I loves me some Nigel! ❤️ 7y
KarenUK @DebinHawaii I loves that you loves him too! He doesn‘t seem very popular here in the US, which is a shame because he‘s such a good writer....😊💕 7y
DebinHawaii @KarenUK I agree! I stumbled across him years ago and fell in love with his writing. My blogging cooking group picked him as our featured chef a few years ago and I was surprised how many people weren't familiar with him. He's a treasure. 😍 7y

This is one of my favorite cookbooks by Nigel Slater. You get lost in the visuals as you read his magnificent prose, describing things so well you can taste it, you can feel the cool breeze in his garden, smell the alluring aroma of an exotic dish he's cooking. Definitely for Anglophiles & cooks. ❤️

MrBook Beautiful! 8y
