This second book in the series dragged on until the ending for me. It wasn't nearly as adventurous as the first book. Because I liked the ending and I'm attached to the characters, I will probably continue on with the series.
Enjoyable second book in the series. Sarah sometimes got on my nerves, but I liked where the story took us.
The second book in this YA series is as delightful as the first. Sarah/Cassandra is almost through with her first year at Miss Castwell‘s & able to be herself with friends Ivy & Alicia. When the three travel with Alicia‘s mother to Scotland for vacation, Sarah hopes to find more changelings like herself & of course the trio finds trouble. Again, there is great narration by Amanda Ronconi & good humor from Harper. Looking forward to the next one.
Today‘s #audiosouping pick. I finished the 1st book in this Molly Harper YA paranormal series last week (I don‘t think I reviewed it yet) 😬 & had to start the 2nd book before I go to something heavier. They are cute & fun. The soup is Ellie Krieger‘s Family Favorite Minestrone—pre-beans & pasta. It smells delish.😋Finished soup pics coming later.

“Scotland in summer sounds rather lovely,” I responded.
“Oh yes, picturesque, sweeping landscapes, stunning views of the Loch of Amethysts, blah blah, blah,“ Alicia muttered. “But holidays with my mother generally mean a months-long slug of Mother chasing me around to stop me from ‘over-exerting myself‘ as if I‘ll shatter like painted china if I sit down too firmly.”
I enjoyed the second book in Molly Harper‘s Sorcery and Society series. Sarah has survived her first semester at school and is beginning to gain control of her magic. She has been chosen as the Translator of the motherbook, a priceless trove of magical knowledge. With great power comes great responsibility, however. When the book stops communicating with Sarah, she must go on an adventure to prove that she deserves the role of Translator.
Once again...
Is this series anything unique? Naw.
Is this series Samm trash? Yes.
Will I read the next one? Yes.
I'm just such a sucker for someone having powers who shouldn't and them being the chosen one and evil people being both dead and not dead.
*squeal* preorder arrived today! I freaking loved book one!
