Cruising Through the Louvre
Cruising Through the Louvre | David Prudhomme
5 posts | 6 read | 16 to read
Author David Prudhomme meanders through the Louvre, feeling as if in the panels of a giant comic while he himself is creating his own. In this institution, all manner of people from all over the world rub elbows quietly. So he decides to cruise through the Louvre at a quick pace, not to look at the art but to observe the people and their interaction with it. For two hours, Prudhomme is witness to a strange, silent and casual choreography, danced in the midst of one of the most prestigious museums in the world.

I am missing Paris terribly and as I was looking for books to make me feel closer, this gem popped up. So charming and makes me miss all my painting friends (yes you can have a relationship with a painting 🖼).

I loved the art style of this and also that there was minimal text. This appealed to the people-watcher in me.

#blameitonlitsy I was pleased to find out about this charming graphic novel through Litsy. If you like people-watching and/or believe in the transformative powers of art, then this is a must-have to be sure.

LeahBergen This sounds fab! 8y
Hobbinol Hope I haven't given anyone Stendhal syndrome by not, um, "prixilating" this illustration. Just let me know and I'll get out the fig leaves. 8y
