First... sorry, but I couldn‘t help myself from getting political after the debate tonight and the previous atrocious debate! And I know this is some what specific to America at the moment, but I hope my international friends can vote, too!

1. Yes, always and in every election I can. Voting is the backbone of democracy.
2. We are almost through another week, closer to a Covid vaccine and hopeful for political changes.

1. The author of the tagged autobiography... so all day I was thinking here and there what character from a book is emotionally intelligent, and now realize it says a person you know (or...). Oh well, I‘m sticking with Zainab. She is amazing.
2. The CCC bridge and the Mississippi River while I‘m at work.
3. Losing family and loved ones.

This was so good! The narrator was amazing, her voice was perfect for this difficult story, and loved the changes of voices for mama, baba, Zainab and all the other characters. Such a good memoir and quite a personal peek behind the curtain of Saddam, his family and regime. In tears so many times while driving and listening. So wonderful what this author has done for the world.

Cosmos_Moon May need to read the book again later, I loved it so much. 4y

Really reads like 2 books in one. The first half is a very riveting account of Salbi 's family 's friendship with Saddam Hussain. The second half deals with Salbi finding her voice and working for women's rights.
