Mehso-so

I‘m fortunate to have time to read while my patients on the psychiatric unit are sleeping. It‘s much more hectic in the rest of the hospital. Our staff have been floated to needier areas due to Covid-19. My turn will likely be tomorrow. Could be in EC, drive-up screening, call-center, or ??? 😷🦠😷🦠😷

This book had a couple engaging moments, but not enough to make it a pick. (But I want a 🐐 now 🤔) 2/5🐓s

Pickpick

The author writes about her consuming desire to run a farm. After moving from Idaho, she continues her homesteading adventure while renting a place in Vermont. Before long she has chickens, rabbits, a goat, turkey, geese, and a few sheep.

As someone w/ a studio apt in NYC, I often dream of the day when I can have some egg laying chickens, rabbits 🐇(for knitting) & maybe some African Pygmy goats. And bees! 🐝 Enjoyed following her journey.

“The symptoms are mild at first. You start reading online homesteading forums and shopping at cheese-making supply sites on your lunch break. You go home after work and instead of turning on the television, you bake a pie and study chicken-coop building plans.”

kyraleseberg That really is how it starts 😂 Now I've got goats, more hens than I can count, and plans for rabbits in the near future 🙈 6y
LauraBeth @kyraleseberg 😂😂do you also blog about that in addition to your book reviews? Because I‘d love to read about it! 6y
kyraleseberg @LauraBeth I have a blog where I share recipes & updates about homesteading but unfortunately I'm terrible at updating it regularly! www.lesebergholler.wordpress.com 6y
LauraBeth I‘ll check it out @kyraleseberg 😀 6y
