Forking Good
Forking Good: A Cookbook Inspired by the Good Place | Stephen H. Segal, Valya Dudycz Lupescu
3 posts | 1 read | 3 to read
A fun, lively, and fully illustrated cookbook of 30 original and practical recipes inspired by NBC's hit sitcom The Good Place, filled with the absurd, pun-driven food humor and accessible philosophy that make the show so popular. With its high concept, exceptional writing, eye-popping set design, stellar cast, meaningful explorations of what it means to be a good person, and clam chowder fountains, The Good Place has captured the hearts and minds of critics and viewers alike. For the first time ever, fans can indulge their cravings for The Good Place with delicious, comforting, original recipes like "Macaroni and Socra-cheese," "I Think Therefore I Clam (Chowder)," "Arendt You Glad I Didn't Say Banana (Split)," "I Kant Believe It's Not Buttermilk Pancakes," and more. Each recipe title references a philosopher or philosophical concept from the show and uses food analogies to explain those concepts to readers who, like Eleanor, can't always follow Chidi's lectures. A refreshing and entertaining twist on cookbooks, Forking Good will help you plan your next viewing party or spread as you re-binge your favorite show.

Thanks, @LMJenkins for the cool book! It is definitely for die hard fans that are well versed in philosophy and like to cook. Perhaps a niche (Nietzsche) demographic?! Each recipe is thoughtfully and thoroughly connected to a specific episode and even moment. The recipes themselves are sounding so yummy too like Chosen Yogurt Chocolate Camousse (chocolate kahlua mousse with hazelnut whipped cream--yum!).

This bright and cheery cookbook is lost on me because I‘m not a fan of “The Good Place” and I‘ll probably tuck this on a shelf and forget all about it. If you are a fan of the show and would make good use of this cookbook, answer quickly and pick a number between one and 10. Closest to the number first will win and I will send it after the holidays. #LitsyGiveaway

Karisa 7 (My family loves the show, and kids like to cook.) 🤗 Thanks for the chance! 5y
LMJenkins The number was 6....thanks for playing. 😀 @Karisa will you send me your address? My email is laurenandkenny@cox.net 5y
