Readers can't get enough of the #1 New York Times bestselling author. A favor for Jason, vampire hunter Anita Blake's werewolf lover, puts her in the center of a fullblown scandal that threatens master-vampire Jean- Claude's reign—and makes her a pawn in an ancient vampire queen's new rise to power.

Title for #GuiltyPleasure is the next Anita Blake novel on my TBR (#16). Most reading this series agree that it‘s nowhere near as good as the first 8 or 9, but I just can‘t quit it. I go long periods between but I still enjoy them.
For tune, I‘m going with “Party in the USA.” When I worked in the office, I‘d turn the volume up and it would leak through my headphones and my neighbors would laugh at me and tell me to turn it down. ⬇️

Bookzombie I still love to turn it up when I hear it. 💃🏼 #TitlesandTunes 1y
Cinfhen Such a catchy song 🎶 and I know what you mean about certain series….they‘re not really on the caliber any longer but you‘re too invested to stop reading 😁 1y

Reggie It‘s funny, on Pandora I put on a Lil‘Kim channel and the 3rd song was I can buy myself flowers. Lol I didn‘t know there was a Miley-Lil‘Kim correlation. 1y
Bookzombie @Reggie I didn‘t either, because Lil‘ Kim isn‘t on the album. Maybe it‘s another release. Now I have that song in my head. 💃🏼 (edited) 1y
Reggie I don‘t think there is a connection. I think it‘s like when Netflix recommends The Care Bears movie after you watch Saw II. Lol 1y
vivastory @Reggie Now I'm imagining a Care Bears/Saw mashup 😬 😂 1y
Reggie @vivastory I would be surprised if robot chicken didn‘t have that crossover 1y
vivastory @Reggie Good point lol Last night I watched a fantastic Korean movie on Shudder you might have seen: Monstrum. 1y
BarbaraTheBibliophage I feel the same about the Anita books. I‘m behind by at least 3 now but that also means I could binge a bit! 1y

Bk3 from my recent #BookMail is the 16th book in the Anita Blake series & the only book in the series that I didn‘t have in print form. I couldn‘t stand not having all of them!🤷🏻‍♀️Anita has gone home with Jason, werewolf & Jean-Claude‘s pomme de sang, to hold his hand while he visits his dying bully of a father. But it‘s never that easy for her, Marmee Noir chooses that weekend to attempt to call all the weretigers & take over Anita‘s body.

I gave been an Anita Blake fan for a long time. I haven‘t read all the books yet but I do own them all. And I‘ve been slowly making my way through them. The best thing about this series is that it‘s always a little like coming home. It feels like the main characters are a part of me now and they never go too far away.

I wanted to love this one more. I enjoyed the focus on Jason. He‘s always been a great character. But I missed the vampires.
