This is very relatable quote and i feel like others can relate too. Books are the escape of the world, and this book captures that perfectly!

I love the artwork and how detailed it is. You can feel how the protagonist feels by the pictures, like she is just another person in the world. The pictures even seem quiet, even with the groups of people.
Wow! This book is intense and very relatable. It talks about she does not feel like she belongs but then when she reads and writes she feels like sne can do anything. When you finally find your passion in life, life gets brighter. I love how detail and broad the photos are.
This book is a great read to young children who grow ups introverted, like myself. It reassures them that others feel this way as well and it is okay.
I really enjoyed this picturebook. It tells the story of young girl who is afraid to speak up and doesn't quite know her place in the world yet. She feels misunderstood and like she is not heard when she does choose to speak. The biggest thing that stood out to me in this story was the colors. The pages are dark and use a combination of blues, black, purples and grey that represent her feelings.
“I don‘t always listen. My thoughts wander to other things.” I think every child and every person can relate to this feeling at some point in their lives when they‘re insecure and feel poorly of themselves.
I think this book is great to use with children to teach them that it is okay to be scared, but it‘s also okay to break free and to help children find their own voices in their own worlds.
Picture book, published 2020. This is a story about an introverted girl who is in a world that seems hostile and scary. This girl tells the story of a quiet, anxious child who feels lonely and isolated. This book contains many feelings of sadness and darkness but it is a story that most people can relate to.
This picture book is different. Which is what the story is all about. The art is different too, yes it is a Childress picture book but it uses shades of black to add to the story. The story is about being different, quiet and finding your voice in reading!
10/10 picture book! This book uses value and color, or lack thereof. These set the tone for the story and provide a powerful, intense feel.
Story of a girl who is shy and never speaks up. She never participated or talks to anyone, only reads and keeps to herself. The illustrator creates an eerie and sad feeling through the pictures in this book will dark colors and low saturation. Book is relatable to those who struggle to find their voice.
This book was copyrighted in 2019. It is about a young girl who feels she hides behind everyone and can never say anything. She “goes quiet”. As the book goes on, she talks about how one day she won‘t remain quiet and she will build a city of words. I think this book would be great for the kids that are quiet and teach them that it is okay but they are more than free to not be quiet as well.
As the synopsis indicates, book is about an "introverted girl trying to find herself in a noisy world" she will discover through books how her voice will be heard. Illustrations are beautiful but I found this story so sad, so much loneliness in a little girl. I found it so depressed. But illustration and the voice are amazing 3.8⭐️ #Scarathlon2029 #TeamHarkness I think this book only counts 5 points+1 point for post=6 points
#SeptemberSenses Day 22: The #SoundOfSilence is heard when “I Go Quiet.” This is a remarkable story that features the redemptive quality of reading, solitude, and a quiet understanding of one‘s worth and purpose. This is, hands down, one of my best reads this year. My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-lRH
A hot afternoon. Sitting inside reading picture books and listening to my favourite music. Love this book. Love the comments on the cover and back. @MrsMalaprop
