Yotsuba&!
Yotsuba&! | Kiyohiko Azuma
4 posts | 5 read | 1 to read
Fresh off the excitement of her camping trip, Yotsuba initiates a very productive session of sandbox play in which she instructs Fuuka how to properly run a bakery. But even more exciting is a visit from Grandma! Yotsuba learns how to value and enjoy cleaning, how not to be rude when hoping for souvenirs, and most important, how to cope when Grandma leaves. But don't worry, she'll be back someday!

Mehso-so

Just finished it for Genre Study class and thought that Probably manga is not my cup of tea ((( this one suppose to be a comedy about a young girl (5 years old) who discovers the world, but I find it strange. She doesn't know many common things like what a door bell does, or what a swing is, but her dad is totally ok that she is outdoors alone.

#Riotgrams day 23 - funny books

Have read plenty of funny novels, but when I think of laughing with a book in my hands, it's usually a #comic or #manga , and few are funnier than the works of Kiyohiko Azuma.

A lot of fans cry for an #anime adaptation of Yotsuba&!, but the skill with which Azuma selects individual moments and conveys the span of time between them would be extremely hard to adapt (could end up with another Flying Witch #shade )

My new favourite. YOTSUBA&! is simply the sweetest, kindest, funniest, most heartwarming thing I've read in years. My face hurts from how much I grinned at the first 12 volumes, and my soul feels better about the world for having met Yotsuba and her friends and family.
