Another book that is not going to win awards for stellar writing, plot, or characters, this is farcical and bizarre. However, it‘s exactly the light escapism I need this week and made me chuckle a few times, so for that, it gets a pick.

MeganAnn I got a copy of this book as a gift a few years ago and it‘s still sitting on my shelf waiting to be read because I wasn‘t sure about the weird. Maybe I‘ll have to read it next time I need a laugh?! 🤷‍♀️ 4y

I have to work tomorrow & have work being done at the house, which means Saturday will be spent putting things back where they belong after the contractors leave, and Sunday I have tickets to see Opera Carolina‘s performance of MacBeth, but I‘m hoping to get some reading done for #litsypartyofone #24b4Monday #mrbook1inamillion, including finishing the tagged audiobook.

BookBoggart I love A. Lee Martinez! I started with Gil's all fright diner followed by monster and then Helen and Troy's Epic Road quest. Adored each one for it's wacky goodness. I started this one but hadn't finished it. Personally I will once I have all my books with me again. Either way he's good stuff if you can't quite get into this one. Highly recommend any of the 3 I mentioned he has various more out there! Happy reading :) 8y
