Loved this middle grade book and looking forward to reading more by Lauren Oliver in the future.

Picked up Lauren Oliver's The Magnificent Monsters of Cedar Street as a gift for one of my niblings, and thought I'd take a peek into it...and a few chapters later, I'm wondering if I have time to finish it before I need to wrap it up 🙄
Definitely gonna look up more by this author later!

Hi, everyone! I‘m so sick of the algorithm over on Instagram (@tracycatherinereads) so I‘m gonna be reviewing and chatting here almost entirely! What‘s new in this space? Read any fantastic middle grade lately?

Thank you to @BeckyMerilatt for recommending this book. I enjoyed Liesel and Po a bit more, but this was just as cute. A single dad and his daughter Cordelia care for Monsters. One day her dad and all the monsters disappear, leaving Cordelia on her own. She sets off on an epic adventure to bring them home. My 9 year old was not as interested in this book, but I would recommend giving this a try as she still enjoyed listening to bits and pieces.

One of my reading goals this year is to read more middle fiction and YA. This was such a good start. A rollicking adventure set in Boston in the 1930‘s. Cordelia and her father collect and care for monsters in their home until one day Cordelia wakes up to find that her father and the monsters are missing. It was really a lovely little book.
