This is definitely an easy read/listening, but a very entertaining one. I like the interaction between Edwina and Beryl and Simpkins - that‘s undoubtly a funny triangle. Unfortunately the title gives away too much.

Beryl is the safest bet at the local gambling death pool. 😂😂😂
This one is even funnier! Edwina‘s gardener ends up being accused of murdering his brother-in-law and also finds himself the heir of a vast fortune from a condiment company. It doesn‘t get any cozier than this! 4⭐️

I feel bad about this, because I liked the first two books in the series, but this one just doesn‘t cut the...okay, I won‘t go there 😂 The concept is cute, but the characters just don‘t have much depth, and I don‘t think there‘s staying power for a long series, although I know the author has at least one more in the pipeline. I‘ve picked it up and put it down three times now, so three strikes and it‘s out.
I went along with hubby to a rehearsal for a jazz group he was asked to play with this weekend. The lighting isn‘t great, so I‘m reading on my Kindle. I started this a couple weeks ago and then set it aside. Not sure why I did that! This is really good.
