Tokyo Ghoul, Volume 4
Tokyo Ghoul, Volume 4 | Sui Ishida
9 posts | 33 read
Ghouls live among us, the same as normal people in every way except their craving for human flesh. Ken Kaneki is an ordinary college student until a violent encounter turns him into the first half-human half-ghoul hybrid. Trapped between two worlds, he must survive Ghoul turf wars, learn more about Ghoul society and master his new powers. Kaneki meets Shu Tsukiyama, known as The Gourmet for his interesting and sadistic tastes. And Kaneki learns more about what happened to Rize and what it means to be a One-Eyed Ghoul."

I should do something today besides just binging this manga, but most things can just wait until tomorrow, right? 😉

Long lost family shows up in this volume. We start to learn more about the different wards, or areas where Ghouls live, and how each has its own pros and cons. This one has more backstory than action, which I can appreciate because the story is getting more complex.

PuddleJumper Binging manga sounds like a great way to spend a day! 2mo
Catsandbooks Yes binge the Manga 😂🧡 2mo

This a particularly dark volume in the series. Readers learn the true deprivation of a select group of ghouls. It‘s enough to make your skin crawl.

Overall, this volume is a good, dark read, although a little jumpy at times.

⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2

Another great volume in the Tokyo Ghoul series, we see the dark and vicious side of the ghouls that take their feedings to an even more disturbing level.

A particularly ghoulish entry in the Tokyo Ghoul series.
