Murder in Paradise | 
pickAh, this is classic SVH. I read this so many times when I was a kid. Alice Wakefield (the twins‘ mom) wins an all expenses paid spa trip for a week. She takes the twins, Lila and her mom, and Enid (sans mom). It seems too good to be true. Every single member of staff is stunningly gorgeous, with the exception of the owner, Mrs. Mueller. Liz thinks there‘s something fishy going on after getting friendly with a staff member, Katya. She seems ⬇️
JenlovesJT47 Troubled about something but Liz can‘t figure out what. Meanwhile, Enid bemoans the fact that she is not gorgeous like the twins and Lila, and Mrs. Mueller starts giving her special one-on-one treatment, brainwashing her into thinking her mother hates her and she is so ugly. Jess and Lila stumble upon Katya‘s dead body in the steam room, and Liz is convinced it wasn‘t an accident. While on a memorial hike for Katya the next day, Alice goes ⬇️ 4y

It all comes to a head when they realize their phone line has been cut, and Jess snoops in Mrs. Mueller‘s office, finding out that every single young employee there was a runaway and have all had drastic plastic surgery to make them beautiful, and also unrecognizable to their families. Enid was ready to go under the knife herself! The girls bust into the white building and find Alice unconscious on an operating table. Turns out Mrs. M ⬇️ 4y
JenlovesJT47 Has always been jealous of Alice‘s beauty — they went to college together — and she plans on stealing her face! Enid snaps to eventually and saves the day. The cops get there in record time, and all‘s well that ends well in Sweet Valley. Honestly, the plot is a little ridiculous but it‘s up there with The Evil Twin and is quite enjoyable. Oh, and Liz cheats on Todd but it‘s okay because they were on vacation! 🙄 Sigh. 4⭐️ 4y
