I was in the mood for something fun, light and spellbinding. Kristen Painter‘s new series was the perfect fit.

Belladonna is finally free when her mobster husband dies in a car accident. When she‘s turned into a vampire, her old and new worlds collide in a whole host of complications.

What I love most is our MC is a middle aged woman who takes sh*t from no one and is refreshingly well grounded compared to the usual twenty-something paranormal MC

Maybe I need something light and fluffy to break me out of my reading funk.
I saw this one on #Goodreads with a good rating from @MeganAnn and was sold.
