8 posts | 6 read | 2 to read
Welcome! For the first time, you are invited INSIDE Mr. Lemoncello's one-of-a-kind Gameworks Factory in book five of the fun-filled, action-packed bestselling series from the much-loved coauthor of the I Funny and Max Einstein series! Now with a brand-new look packed with shelf and kid appeal! Far away from his magical library, everyone's favorite game maker, Luigi Lemoncello, is building something new. Something SECRET. And he's about to let the world see it. He'll reveal that hidden deep within the Lemoncello-tastic new building is a single ticket. A titanium ticket. Four lucky boys and girls are about to win the chance to go inside the building on a spectacular scavenger hunt that will take them through bigger-than-life live-action games--towering, skyscraper-size Jenga; dizzying real-life Chutes and Ladders; death-defying games of Rush Hour; plus ball pit moats and more! Each game will get the players closer to the titanium ticket. But the real secret? Mr. Lemoncello is thinking about his legacy, and whichever player finds the ticket will be the first to win a spot in an elite group of kids who will compete in the next books to win Mr. Lemoncello's ENTIRE EMPIRE! * "A worthy successor to . . . Willy Wonka." --Booklist, starred review of Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library

Super fun, very Willy Wonka... new games, new fun and lots of board game history! As per usual, cheaters never prosper and the future belongs to the puzzle solvers!!!

I was so excited for this until I started listening & heard Kirby Heyborne instead of Jesse Bernstein! 😤 Kirby us okay but I'll forever associate him with one of the most awful books I ever listened to!

I like this middle-grade series. This one introduces some new kids but keeps the spirit of the previous ones. I also like the author always has a moral that is subtle. This one is forgiveness.

🎧 From Candyland to Chutes and Ladders, from Clue to Connect Four, from Battleship to Operation, this 5th in the Lemoncello series leaves his library in Ohio for his game factory in New York and is a celebration of the great board games we all love. Another fun time was had by all.

Another fun read in the Lemoncello series, this installment focuses on a new pair of MCs, with Kyle showing up in a very sidelined role. Opens up at least another storyline, so I‘d expect at least two more books.

My 11-year-old friend loves the new cover art; I...do not. But I guess he‘s the target audience, so maybe he knows better. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes. Yes. And more yes!
Chris Grabenstein's imagination knows no bounds with this action packed, puzzle solving fun in a book. Great title for kids grades 3 and up. As a librarian recommend, because hellooooo It's a Lemoncello.

Peddler410 I have the first four; not a fun of the new cover art. 4y
LibrarianRyan @Peddler410 me neither. I thought that when the last one came out. They simplified the art. I love the busy artwork of book 1 4y
Peddler410 @LibrarianRyan Your right! This new cover art will make for a harder sell at my middle schools 😔 4y
