🎧 Book one of the Underwater Investigation Unit. Sloan is a police diver in Florida. The players are her dad, pre-teen daughter, Ron the baby-daddy & the X-DEA agent that imprisoned her drug running uncle. Not all is what it seems and Sloan soon finds herself over her head and on somebody‘s hit list but don‘t count her out as she‘s the daughter of a treasure hunting pirate and under the water is her jam! Good thriller. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️1/3
I've never tried Mayne's books before. Although I wasn't wowed by this, I think it was more because of the subject matter. I also listened to this on audio, when I usually do better trying a new author by physically reading. I think I'll still continue with this series, and also give The Naturalist series a try!
I‘ve got the write stuff! My @goscribbler box was packed full of goodies to help me develop and publish my writing. It also included two new books: A thriller that came with a signed bookplate from the author and one of those books that has a guy who has lost his shirt on the cover. I‘m excited about looking over the material here more intently and putting it to good use!
Coming off a binge of Narcos Mexico, this was a perfectly timed, entertaining and fast paced read, featuring police diver Sloan McPherson. The first book in the new Underwater Investigation Unit series, it follows Sloan as she investigates the connection between a body discovered at an archeological dive site and a South Florida drug smuggling ring. Original with an intelligent and strong female protagonist. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ #ReadTheUSA2020 #Florida
This book was good, but the audio version was fantastic! The narrator perfectly portrayed how I thought Sloan would sound like. The book was interesting and took a path I was not really expecting. There was some family drama that I thought was unimportant and kind of weird, but it was relatively short. I enjoyed the look at diving and how the author incorporated it into the story.
