El and Vee work to unravel what happened to them and, in doing so, uncover the horrible mysteries and history of their town. Some unsettling images highlight the story.

pickIt was a weekend of graphic novels and short stories for me. I'm loving the new Hill House Comics.
This story is a bit out there, but it works. In a town full of people experiencing strange side effects from the coal mines, two friends set out to make sense of what is happening in their town. From witches to sinkholes that make people disappear, this comic will take you on a wild ride.

When I want a horror graphic novel, this is what I want. I want the story to take me on adventure and not let up until you figure out everything on the last page. El and Vee are friends. Best Friends. They living in an old mining town where things are strange. Beside parts of the mines being on fire, women loose time. We start with El and Vee waking up in the theater and remembering nothing.
pickBells to rest. Lambs to slaughter. El and Vee are best friends growing up in a very strange town. One day they go to the movies, only to awaken hours later, knowing something happened to them, but not what. It‘s not the first time it‘s happened in the town of Sudder-To-Thing, PA, a former mining town. The drawings are fantastic and creepy, but it‘s the friendship and Tales From the Crypt vibe that truly makes this a standout graphic novel.
