Hi, I know I‘m a bit late to the party on this survey, but as far as improvements go, I wish I could follow a book. I‘d love to know when others post opinions on some of my favs.
Thanks!

ljuliel Thank you Lara. I‘m glad you spoke up . The only way I know to do it is to look the book up and read other‘s posts about it. I tend not to do that before reading it, as I sorta like going into it blind so I can make up my own mind about it. It‘s fun to see what people say once I‘m done and see what their opinion was. 4d

What an adorable book full of intrigue, adventure, and “solutioneer-ing”. Love the clever writing style. I love that he‘s a 12 yo who can pass as an adult in all situations and can solve things grown-ups can‘t...it‘s one of my favourite tropes in books. (‘cause let‘s be honest, my young nieces and nephews have me beat on far too many levels so there‘s clearly some truth in that idea).

I really liked this book. I know it‘s a small thing, but I particularly liked how they treated future tech as something neutral. So many sci-fi books these days portray future tech as the the thing that ends all humanity, while others manage to sneak in some random convenient piece of tech at the end to save all humanity. In this book, the tech itself was neither good nor bad, but rather the humans who either used it for good or evil.

LibrarianRyan I liked this as well. 5d

Finished this book about a week ago, but needed some time to marinate on it. There's so much going on in this book I don't even know where to start. Fortunately my Mum is coming to visit me this weekend; she's the one who told me to read it so I'm looking forward to hashing it all out with her!

Still trying to read a bit of French each day, but TBH I wasn‘t really feeling it today. Decided reading a few pages was better than skipping it all together, donc j‘ai choisi un auteur Québécois et un livre pour les enfants. Very cute story!

What a lovely book. The author did a really great job of setting up a fantastical world that was still believable. When it was over all I could think was “I wish could get to know the characters better.”

...aaaaaaand apparently I‘ve been living under a rock, as I‘m only now discovering it‘s a *series*, and also a movie?!

Good thing there was bonus material included in this version. #screamathon

I'm not bothered by the things we do with *dead* bodies so much as I'm bothered by the things we do to *living* ppl that's hidden in these pages. Research cadavers for bullets. Research cadavers for war. Research to put killers behind bars, and research to acquit those wrongly accused. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely support these endeavours; they're incredibly valuable to society. It's just...I dunno....can't we all just get along? #screamathon

Been so long since I've read Dickens I forgot how perfectly sarcastic he is. Sometimes I wish I was around in that era, I'm sure there's so much more biting commentary that's totally going over my head.

More, please!

I want this to turn into an entire series. I want a vignette of loosely connected ppl living in a country made up of thousands of islands, like Indonesia. And another for those in the Great White North of Canada. Another for the International Space Station who watched all the lights go out.

I don‘t usually read fanfic but in this case I say BRING IT ON!
