A group of teenage girls search for meaning and belonging during a fateful summer of spiritual and mystical inquiry. There were some great lines, such as, “Girls love to be unlike other girls, because of the lies we are told about what other girls are like.” Even so, the dreamy atmosphere kept me at a distance, I never felt attached to any characters, and I felt like I‘ve read better versions of this story before. 🎧

I just started this today and I'm already in love! I didn't know anything about it when I grabbed it from the library, other than I love the cover and the author is a senior editor at LitHub! But once I started reading it I got totally sucked in! 💕📚

Olivia, the protagonist quickly gets swept up in a cliquey group of girls trying to achieve the ultimate lightness, Levitation. The whole time I was reading this I was reminded of one of my favorite movies as a teen, The Craft. It evoked the same secretive nature about these girls. #bookreview
