Unique book with lots of dark undertones in the story. It follows a family, some who still believe in the ancient practice of The Butchers, and others who are strict Catholics who disown the old practices of their families. The Butchers are a group of men who travel giving respect to cows of believers before butchering them for food for families of believers.
While it sounds a bit odd, it was really well done.
