As a vegetarian I know parts of this will disturb me but as a "pretentious food jerk" I'm going to love it!
Just got this from the library. Love her columns in The New Yorker. Plus she uses the word 'empurple ' in the first chapter. 👍🏼
The author describes food smells, flavor a, and textures so you can almost experience them for yourself - for good & bad. The chapter on offal & extreme foods was the hardest. My favorite part had to do with changing American tastes and food importation. If you like to read about food and/or adventures you only want to experience vicariously, give this book a try. #foodmemoir
