From the late 1970‘s until April 1985 the Israeli Mossad secretly operated in Sudan smuggling out 7054 Ethiopian Jews who were facing famine, abject poverty and extinction and brought them to Israel (Zion), a land the Jews of Ethiopia dreamed of one day returning to.
