I think this is one of the better ones in the series because it was a little different and the characters worked. Instead of the immortal character having to explain to a human that they are a life mate and vampires are real, it was a matter of getting over fears and past trauma. Also, I loved G. G.! It was fun getting to know him. 4āļø¸

I was so excited for this book - two characters that I got to know in previous books in the series now come together!! This was one of my favorite of the more recent books in the series because I loved Angelina/Ildaria the pirate that is just trying to survive (CW for childhood abuse and sexual assault). She is so strong, but also just trying to protect herself.
