Beyond excited to find this poetry collection on Thriftbooks in like new condition at a great price! Now I'm looking forward to spending some time in its pages this evening.
Audiobook choice for the month. Pretty excited!
I didn‘t love these. Some were good, but it just wasn‘t my favorite thing to read 🤷🏻♀️
Beautiful and raw. I really enjoyed this volume of Halsey's poetry.
I'm really enjoying drifting in and out of the pages of this volume.
Reviewing collections of poetry is always tricky to me because some resonate more with me than the others. Do the ones that I don't vibe with drag down the rating despite them being perfectly fine poems?
Overall, I liked I Would Leave Me If I Could. I knew Halsey was a strong woman, but I didn't know half of what she went through to get there. She bares her soul in these poems to give us a glimpse of her origin story.
One book to go! #MountTBR
Received this beautiful book off my wishlist as a gift- can't wait to get into it! MERRY CHRISTMAS, LITTENS!
This got a bit forced in the middle but Halsey was overall really fantastic to read and conjures up some really fantastic images in your head. Yeah at some point I wasn‘t sure how I felt about it and I genuinely did not like the middle too much. This should be read slowly, but I also can‘t wait to listen to the audiobook which will be fantastic!
I‘m not sure what I feel about this book. On the one hand, it‘s Halsey and there is a certain kind of poetry in how she sings and how she writes. I feel like at times it‘s slightly too forced or maybe just not to my taste, but there are things that are also incredibly vivid and hurt.
You Were First
I hope everyone here can recognise these from somewhere else. I literally sang this in my head.
So happy to have this by #halsey
Look at what I just got in the mail! I‘m so excited!

PICK PICK PICK! This blew my socks off! Halsey is a fantastic writer. Major trigger warnings though. She is brutally honest about many subjects. I hope to see more from her. I could definitely she some of these being songs by her.
As much as I love her music, I didn‘t connect to these poems. This is may be because the poems followed her growing up homeless and a bit of a drug user with how it affected her bipolar disorder. (None that I have any experience with) She has a lot going against her, but the point she made that she wanted to write poems is clear. She does have a great way with words
I love Halsey. I love Ashley. She comes across as this young woman who is headstrong and brash, yet when she lets her walls down, as she has been with her last album, she shows how relatable and down to earth she really is. I am so happy to support her anyway I can. Including this collection of poems she wrote up about her life
