Didn't really like this one at all as I couldn't find any empathy for any of the main characters. They all felt rather remote from the reader - there was little to connect with. It was also a bit silly that the police arrested people on little more than circumstantial evidence. I only finished it because it covered two of this month's book bingo prompts. 2⭐

This one just didn‘t work well as an audiobook for me. It was a bit over complicated in my opinion. I had a hard time following it and by the end still didn‘t know what was fully going on. Not a fan of this one. Maybe if I read it, I would have liked it more!

Thanks to #netgalley, I received an ARC to review. This one had a lot of moving parts including time jumping which was not clearly marked, a character who changes names, and multiple viewpoints, all of which made it confusing to read - I had to go back and reread and double check things to understand what was happening. #merryreaders #wintergames @Clwojick

How can a book have such wonderfully atmospheric narration and rate so low with me.??? Good question. I wanted to like this and I really tried to do so but it missed the mark for me, story-wise. I really found most of the story to be rather unbelievable and very reminiscent of the show Riverdale...basically a hot mess.

BookDragonNotWorm I'm glad I didn't request this one now! I liked the other one I read by her and was undecided. Thanks for the review! 4y
