Quite simply: life-changing 🌎
I know not everyone will react in the same way to the messages within this book, which focuses mostly on climate change. Such a heavy topic that‘s been weighing heavy on my heart. I am working on less consumption and have already used many of the practices she mentions. I‘d like to begin a climate activism journey. I admire the author‘s dedication but some methods are too over the top for my life.
Such a profound book. Often not easy to hear (yes, we all have guilt about where “we” are) but so much hope for what we can do for the planet and each other. Bravo Sarah!🌏
[Every Monday I go to our local shelter to take a picture of an adoptable cat for our bookstore‘s social media—this is Edward!] Like First, We Make the Beast Beautiful, This One Wild and Precious Life is like a whole-hearted, big-spirited, deep-into-the-night conversation with a good friend. And like any rich conversation, you‘re bound to find disagreements or blind spots, but the process is life-affirming, imagination-wilding, heart-enlarging.
A sunny afternoon reading in the bedroom 🌞 📖 🪴
A little splurge-y work lunch (my coworker ordered me a mini pizza because they were all getting one🍕☺️) with a new, pretty book!
