This is from the book @Eggs gave me and the author is talking about “phone fatigue.” I know I have it! Most of us wake up scrolling, scroll through out the day, scroll before bed… I have actually been thinking of taking a break from social media. I probably won‘t, but I know I need to limit my time. This book is a compilation of wisdom and encouragement for every day! Do you have “phone fatigue?” What are your thoughts?

RaeLovesToRead I limit my social media to Litsy because it's such a pleasant space to be in 💕 I deactivated Facebook a couple of years ago and it felt very freeing. I could probably do with cutting down on screen time even more... get more reading done instead! 2y
Kyndrill Me too @RaeLovesToRead ! I didn‘t think I‘d stay deactivated for long when I tried it with Facebook and Instagram, but so far it‘s been four months and I feel it‘s freeing too. For now my only social media is Litsy. I‘ve even not been checking it often lately either, but when I do it always makes me inspired! I still get a bit of phone fatigue feeling like I have to answer every text right away… those red notifications just get to me! 2y
thereadingpal I think I do have phone fatigue. I stay too much on my phone, have the urge to answer notifications right away, it distracts me. I'm a bit addicted to socials, but that's because most of my friends are online. I'd need to detox... 2y

Magpiegem Yes! I actually said to my husband last night that I need a phone detox as I find myself needlessly scrolling on FB a lot these days. But it‘s trickier now then it used to be because so much of my life (diary, food shopping, emails etc) are on My phone. I don‘t ever limit my Litsy time though as I find this my happy nourishing place on social media xx 2y
bthegood I only have Litsy, look at it in the morning, then done, carry phone but glance on occasion only, have ringtones for calls and texts so I know if it's something I need to look at immediately (ie 83 year old mom calling), work not set up to notify on phone, so I must login to work. I find this works for me, keeps me present in the moment.👍 2y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick I have turned off notifications for FB & IG and it does help me to cut down on the phone time. I also set a rule for myself during 2020 that I can scroll until I see pandemic/strong political opinions and then I close up shop because it was making me crazy. I generously follow pages for dogs, travel & books but also generously unfollow pages that aren't working for me. I connect with friends & family so a full disconnect doesn't work for me. 2y
Eggs I can relate to what you‘re saying. IG & FB are mind-sucking🫠. I have no notifications enabled, except for messages (fam & friends). I think we forget to use our bodies bc of 📱 and body + mind gives us healthy perspectives 💕💕 2y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @RaeLovesToRead Facebook is the only way I stay connected with long distance relatives.. I have thought about deactivating it though! 2y
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @Magpiegem yes! Litsy is wonderful ❤️ 2y

Come-read-with-me @rather_be_reading The book is great, but so everything else you read, so no surprise here. I do ‘random opens‘ as well! 4y
Magpiegem I love that picture. I would like it as a print to remind me. As an exhausted mum of 3 little boys I try to remind myself@of this everyday (when I‘m counting down the seconds to bedtime) congratulations on getting your vaccines!! Yay!! My hubby has his first one today too ☺️xx (edited) 4y
Come-read-with-me @Magpiegem Counting down to bedtime sounds like a moment where some positive insights would be helpful! It must be so much fun to have three little guys -you must have the best stories! 4y
