pickThis YA book feels much more YA than the first book, which was set at Halloween. Esme is half angel, & being “different” she‘s endlessly bullied at school until she is rescued by her hunky (& gay) best friend & her first boyfriend. It bothers me that the bullying is ostensibly solved because she now has 2 good-looking men in her life. There‘s little about the family zoo that made book 1 so appealing. ⬇️
I discovered this series reading the Halloween book and liked it so much, I immediately bought this one. So even though I have way too many books to read right now, I think I have to read it because it‘s Thanksgiving!! It‘s a pretty short YA book so hopefully I‘ll zip right through it.
Sure enough, there‘s a Christmas book, too, so if this one‘s good I‘ll grab it for #wintergames
