This book is a retelling of Jane eyre. Cheesy but in a good way. I loved it.

I loved Jane Eyre when I read it in college and this modern retelling was pretty good too! I prefer the original telling of the story, but I have to give Ms. Lindner credit on Jane!
My teenage daughter picked this one for me to read. It was on my shelf and she picked it at random! It's a small way of helping me read more of the books I already own rather than buying new/new-to-me books.
Interesting adaption of the classic Jane Eyre novel. The characters are adapted in quite unique and interesting roles. Some fit rather nicely, others could have used a bit more creativity. Not a GREAT read but a different and perplexing adaption of the original that ultimately fell short of the themes from its source material.
Day 28 of 31: Favorite Retelling. You all will learn that favorites are hard for me! There are too many (not a problem at all) good books and authors so I can't choose one. Here are a few #retellings I love: Juliet Immortal and Romeo Redeemed by Stacey Jay, Cinder by Marissa Meyer, A Breath of Eyre by Eve Marie Mont, Jane by April Lindner, and Re Jane by Patricia Park.

You do see the theme, though, right?

A modern adaptation of "Jane Eyre" which is really enjoyed! Rochester is a rock star here ;)
