I discovered Rachael Yamagata with "Be Be My Love" in college. She did a residency at Johnny Brenda's in Philadelphia, and I've been following her since. I've seen her about 10 times live. The linked video stars Allison freakin' Janney! Enjoy!

TieDyeDude The art is an original drawing that Candice Martello (aka Hemming) did before the show and sold at the merch table. My best friend bought it for me. Hemming is very good as well, though she only has one album; she won a VH1 reality show, but became a little jaded with the music business dealing with the recording contract from that show (bonus video: https://youtu.be/pd-H4rfsrn8) 2mo

Definitely enough to convince me to try more of Gilman's work. It's a bit "little did I know, but..." at times, but mostly fun.

Somebody in the Legendary Book Club of Habitica guild on Habitica chose this as one of their favourite books. I'm enjoying it so far -- I've been meaning to try Gilman's work for so long. I rather like the protagonist; a little bit naive and just not used to being her own person, but with a surprising amount of spine.

I've lost track of how many times I've seen Rachael Yamagata in concert (probably nearing 15). She always has the best openers, too. Last night Zach Djanikian and stellar local Philly artist Hemming played, and my friend bought me this original art, which Hemming drew. Great night!

Went to two AWESOME bookstores today! Part 1 of 3 of my book haul today 😳 The pile here is from the Seattle Mystery Bookshop. They were so full of suggestions, it was so fun. Would never have picked some of these titles without their help. I can't wait to get to them!
