This was fun! A modern retelling of Jane Austen‘s Sense and Sensibility, here we have Cricket and her two daughters Daisy and Wallis. The story revolves around Daisy. Her father, a US Senator dies and it is discovered that he was different than his projected image. Facing the fall-out, the three women make their way. Normally I do not like Austen retellings, but this was a page turner and I was very engaged. A good, light summer read. 4/5

This was an interesting take on S&S! I loved the characters and the political setting, although Atlas and Daisy sure took their sweet time having an actual conversation about their feelings. #retellings #contemporaryfiction

I have a lot of books on my TBR so I don't know that I can say definitively that this has the prettiest cover of them all, but I'm not NOT saying that either.

I thought this worked pretty well as a S&S retelling! It's nothing amazing, but it's consistently entertaining. And what more can I ask for right now?

Oh My Gosh I LOVED this book!!! A modern retell of Sense & Sensibility set in Washington DC. I was captivated immediately and I just wanted to keep reading and stay in the story. This pandemic calls for Austen and this absolutely delightful story answers! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ they should turn this book into a movie, it would be AWESOME
