This was one of my fave SVH books growing up and it holds up well on reread. There‘s a new rule that all after school activities/clubs must have a faculty advisor. The cheerleaders are looking for one who won‘t cramp their style and Liz suggests Nancy Swanson, the school librarian. She‘s quiet but shows tons of school spirit and dresses in retro 70s clothes while still using expressions like “groovy” and “far out”. The cheerleaders think she‘s ⬇️

JenlovesJT47 Perfect for the job because she‘s not pushy and actually knows a bit about cheerleading. Meanwhile, Liz is helping as a research assistant to Diane, who works for a magazine in New York. She is writing a story about the Girls of 76, the SVH cheerleading squad who got all the way to nationals. Liz‘s job is to track down the old cheerleading squad and go on interviews with Diane and Brad, the hot photographer Jess naturally has a crush on. Things ⬇️ 3y
JenlovesJT47 Really start to get interesting when cheerleaders start disappearing in groups of 2 and 3. Ms. Swanson assures them that the cheerleaders are on errands to pick up new uniforms. But as the days go by and more cheerleaders go missing, Liz starts to suspect something is up. She stumbles on a clue that Ms. Swanson was one of the girls of 76 who got kicked off the squad halfway through the season, and it turns out Ms. Swanson is getting her revenge ⬇️ 3y
JenlovesJT47 On the girls of 76 by punishing the current cheerleading squad. She seems to be in a time warp and it‘s up to Liz to figure out what‘s going on. Yeah, this story is kinda out there but so fun for an SVH book! It‘s one that‘s hard to put down, even though I knew what was going to happen. Definitely one of my faves. 5⭐️ for nostalgia‘s sake! 3y

TaciturnWhenReading I loved the SVH series when I was a tween! I‘ll have to revisit to see how well they have aged. Fun! 3y
JenlovesJT47 @TaciturnWhenReading it‘s so fun! I‘m doing a read-through of the entire series in order. I have a huge collection but the regular series is available on kindle unlimited and a lot of them are available to read for free on openlibrary.org - check out snarkvalley.wordpress.com - she‘s also doing a read-through and she is so hilarious! 😅🤗 3y
