My friend let me borrow these in preparation for the new HadesXPersephone book out next week, because I have read those but not Hades perspective & this was a fun refresher without having to re-read. Since it‘s from an alternate perspective some plot points that were huge in Touch of Darkness became mere blips & others were expanded upon.

This sequel was so fabulous. I have never read a series where the second book was in another Character‘s point of view, but relayed the same story. At first I was worried that I would get bored but all the details and extra bits and pieces in Hades point of view made me love this story even more!

I love seeing Hades' side of the story. He deserves all of the love. You can see why he chooses not to tell Persephone everything at first and I don't blame him.

My August book report! Slowing down a little since I‘ve reached my yearly goal and it feels good! Focusing on my reading challenges and finishing a few series I‘m in the middle of for the rest of the year.

Getting in a little reading before dinner. I'm all caught up on St. Clair's Hades x Persephone series, so I decided to check out book 1 of her Hades Saga. It's essentially book 1 of Hades x Persephone, but from Hades's POV. Feels like a treat to get a glimpse into the mind of a rather mysterious dude lol

I actually liked this whole story better from Hades‘s POV. He‘s more aware of the people around him, and his quick feelings for Persephone make more sense. I liked the insight the reader got into his motivations and feelings.
