⬇When I first heard about this book, I thought I'd never going to read it. Too much YA. Too much stereotypical YA. But since it was another book price winner, I thought I might give it a try.

And happily I did! Another surprise at the end of the reading year.

Yes, the beginning and the end is very much YA. And the whole thing is also very much on the romantic side. But since Kerstin Gier writes such lovely characters and with so much humor ⬇

Vergissmeinnicht ist ein guter, wenn auch langsamer Beginn der neuen Trilogie von Kerstin Gier. Ein bisschen Humor wäre schön gewesen, und wir lernen leider noch nicht allzu viel von der neuen Welt kennen, aber Rubinrot hat ja auch erstmal klein angefangen ?.

I‘m not sure what deal German author Kerstin Gier has made to always have these gorgeous covers. With this edition, the pages are sprayed in a warm blue and it all looks very mysterious.
