I spent a fun weekend with two of my friends in Berlin & Potsdam, who surprised me with a visit to a lovely cat 🐈 cafe as a late birthday gift. These three books 📚 came home with me, they all feel very autumn & halloween 🎃 themed, which was my intention 🧡.

This was my first time in #Paris since I was 11 years old and I really fell in love with love with the city, something I didn‘t expect. This are all the purchases from the famous Shakespeare & Company bookstores, close to Notre Dame (plus a cute Jellycat croissant 🥐). I had to get the iconic tote bag of course! The Paris Trilogy is pretty moving and it‘s signed & stamped as well!

My last stop on my #Interrail trip was #Barcelona ??. It was hot and crowded, but I got to visit the Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, Casa Batlló, Casa Vicens and the Aquarium at the port. During these 16 days, I managed to read a lot books, mostly #romance, which is why this famous mural is very fitting.

This is a fantastic little English & French #bookstore in #Montpellier in the South of #France. I spent two days there and survived 36-38 degrees. The store is on a very famous street which has a colourful staircase and it‘s just lovely.

Gonna post a proper picture once I‘m back home. I bought The Little Prince and the Paris Trilogy (signed). They both got the official stamp. Obviously I got some postcards and the Tote Bag (red!) as well. Very fun visit. The cafe next door is lovely, they also sell the tote bags if you want one but don‘t want to stand in line.

Well, couldn‘t leave without a purchase.
#Paris was crowded, hot and exhausting, but amazing as well. I went to the Louvre, the Musée du Orsay, the Musée de l‘Orangerie, boat tour on the Seine, Napoleon‘s Tomb, the Panthenon, Sainte Chapelle, and I even got into Notre Dame! Shakespeare and Company is right across the river from it.

marleed My favorite gift from a traveler came from there. I sent my son to this bookstore when he visited Paris. It wasn‘t on their to do list but they loved it. When in #Paris, you have to visit Shakespeare and Company!! Be prepared to wait in a queue though. I was there twice and both times I waited for around 20 minutes. At least we had shade! The queue ensures that the shop doesn‘t get too crowded and that you can still somewhat enjoy it.

I‘ve had this book on my wishlist for a while. “Killing Thatcher” is a very exciting, but still impeccable researched political thriller about the very long plot of killing Prime Minister Thatcher, by the IRA. I highly recommend it if you‘ve ever been to Ireland and/or are interested in Irish history.

LiteraryHoarderPenny For some reason the name is changed to There Will Be Fire for the North American version! Took me on a little journey to find it - found it - marked it to read! 😊 6mo
thewallflower0707 @LiteraryHoarderPenny did they think it was too inflammatory or that Americans might not buy it because Thatcher is less well-known over there? 😅 6mo

The #Bookfair in #Leipzig was absolutely massive this weekend - they got a new record with 300.000 visitors! The lines at the popular Romance & Fantasy sections were huge, and it was extremely crowded. I definitely won‘t visit again on Saturday, there is just too much noise and people. Still, a fun experience!

charl08 Can you buy just "normal person" (not in the industry) passes? I would love to visit this one day. 7mo
thewallflower0707 @charl08 of course! The bookfair in Leipzig is primarily for normal visitors, the one in Frankfurt is mostly for the industry. Tickets for Saturday are a bit more expensive and I really recommend going on one of the other days (Thu, Fri, Sun). Also, book your hotel room ~5 months in advance or it will get very pricey. 7mo
