This was a really fun & interesting read. I don‘t know why the author seems convinced that there‘s a dark underbelly to the truffle world, but besides that random issue, I enjoyed this book.
This book explore truffles as a food, the science behind growing them, and the dogs who find them. The author offers more of a travelogue than an in depth look, but I still learned a lot.
3/5 stars, warning! Will make you want to eat truffles (the fungus)

The things you find online at the library - weeks ago I came across this during a bout of insomnia and put a hold on it. The hold came in last night and I‘m already on chapter six… who knew truffles could be so interesting?

I admit that the only truffles I‘ve ever eaten have been chocolate but this book is so engaging that you come to feel that you understand the truffle obsession. And the dogs: love them - the bonus at the end was the best.
