In a vintage boutique on Sullivan‘s Quay
I lift a winter coat ….

In glass, I am wrapped in old red - …

This pocket may once have sheltered
something precious: a necklace, a love letter,
or a fresh egg , feather-warm, held gently
so it couldn‘t crack, couldn‘t leak through seams,
so it couldn‘t stain the dress within.

I didn‘t take part in the #jolabokaflodswap this year and I‘ve been very jealous looking at everyone else‘s gifts, so I decided to open your gift a day early @Cathythoughts !

This little book of poetry looks fabulous and I look forward to reading it when sitting by the fire this evening.
