No wonder this collection of crime fiction by writers of color is up for the Anthony Award! Great stories in varied styles. The opener by Tracy Clark has a fun twist. Navarez‘s “Docs at Midnight” offers suspenseful blackmail & a bittersweet look at former lovers. Highly recommend all these short stories. #anthology #diversebooks

My September pick for #12BooksOf2021 hosted by @Andrew65

It was hard to choose between this and The Inheritance of Orquidea Divinia, but I gave the nod to Midnight Hour because I genuinely liked all the short stories in the collection- which is not usually the case in an anthology. There's thrillers and noir and lots in between, and I loved discovering some awesome new to me authors. Definitely recommending if you like crime fiction!

Andrew65 Looks good. 😊 3y
