Took me some time to get used to the framing stories(!) and the writing style.
It might be a bit too long. There could have been a little less whimsical and lyrical writing.
All in all, an epic fantasy (yes, epic!) that I liked.

Current #audiobook - I'll report back, as promised, @Leniverse
When life (or the greengrocer who by now knows you) gives you chilli, you string them up to dry while your teenagers dare each other to take a bite out of one of them. 🙄🙄🙄 My daughter won, she ate a large bite and now has €50 to spend on books. 😁😁

There are so many POV shifts, interjections and one liners that are spoken by other people in other timelines that it is very confusing. Audio is the way to go with this one, if you can. That said, I absolutely loved the writing and the story. It was an immersive fantasy tale of two warriors journeying to free a goddess and end a kingdom. The format was inventive and clever, even if it was a little hard to follow. It‘s well worth the effort.
This was a unique epic fantasy that blends reality, and fantasy with really interesting characters. It's hard to explain what this story is about but just know going in that it's immersive and convoluted at times but the author full circles everything you think you have questions about.
Clever, original, and well written

This book has something for everyone who loves fantasy. It starts with a slow immersion but blossoms into a complex and original story. It doesn't shy away from combat and death, but it is also full of hope and love. I don't have any comps. But it made me feel the way I did reading Suzanne Clarke and NK Jemison for the first time. Oh this writer can WRITE and they are writing something NEW.
