Grid Grimly‘s art never disappoints and his illustrations in this edition of Grimm fairytales are excellent. Seeing how he depicted each story, the best and worst characters, and everything in between was really fun. Atmospheric, creepy, delightful…I could go on…Needless to say, I‘ll be hunting down his other illustrated books as well.

This Grimly illustrated edition of Grimm fairy tales is one of my new favorite things. I‘m going to dive back in with my morning coffee. Perfect way to start the day!

So pretty. No filter on photo - art is amazing & wonderfully creepy. Mostly black and white spot illustrations placed throughout the tales but also has several full page slightly colored images.

Perfect time of year to add to one's Grimm collection. Never too many editions of Grimm in the house, right?

p.s. These are the original texts - with the Grimm endings. No disney-fied happy endings here!
