Really should have been a blurb. This is not a quote from the book although it should have been. This method claims to give practitioners sharper insight and they will see reality as it is

I read this whole book from a pdf on my computer. It was interesting playing with the notes and highlighting feature. I liked the q and a format and the short story examples to illustrate each point. Nice introduction on why and how to meditate.
We need not wait until after death to experience heaven and hell; we can experience them within this life, within ourselves. When we commit unwholesome actions we experience the hell-fire of craving and aversion. When we perform wholesome actions we experience the heaven of inner peace. Therefore it is not only to the benefit of others but for our own benefit, to avoid harm to our selves, that we abstain from unwholesome words and deeds.
I bought this book 8 months ago when I embarked on a 200 hour yoga teacher training journey, yet, with my training now complete, I still have yet to read the book. I'm a little skeptical about meditation, I admit, yet I recently saw a statistic that claims it's just as beneficial as antidepressants! Anyone read this book or any other on meditation? Did it help? I'm thinking of tackling this soon!!
