My first read for #pridemonth
I like the terming of “monosexuality” for either hetero or homosexual, as in being attracted to only one gender, and “bisexuality” referring to being attracted to multiple genders.
The audiobook is narrated by the author and is easy to follow. I always appreciate a chance to learn more about history, visibility, and cultural shifts in the LGBTQIA+ world. I thought this was great.
I love #bookspin drawing day! Both of these are Libro.fm purchases recently. I can‘t wait to get started! Perfect for #NonfictionNovember.
"We all live in bubbles, and mine is an adorable bi bubble".
???
This is such an important book. Bi-erasure is all too real, isolating, and invalidating, and until reading this book I hadn't realised the gaping space that it had filled. Queerness in all its forms should be celebrated, and this book gives an honest focus but with plenty of positivity. Even a self-proclaimed well-informed bi like myself still had plenty to learn from this book.
New arrivals today 💃💃💃💃
Fear not... I've also ordered a 4-tier book trolley 😋
@The_Penniless_Author got me curious about Tove Ditlevsen so that's a #blameitonRandy purchase 🤣🤣🤣
Otherwise I have two more Emily St John Mandels and a history of bisexuality 😊🌈
