Alas, WHEN LONDON SNOW FALLS never did recapture the spark of its early chapters. It wasn‘t BAD, but something was missing for me.

This beer, on the other hand! I passed by the Half Pints Brewery taproom today and couldn‘t resist King Ramses, their sweetened lambic that takes years to brew and is priced accordingly ($8.39 for a half pint—eek!) Despite the designation, it‘s a natural sour, and OH MY SOUL. This is the sour of my heart. What beauty.

Sunday afternoon reading with Daisy, who‘s obsessed with sleeping in chairs. WHEN LONDON SNOW FALLS isn‘t bad as of 40%, but it hasn‘t sustained the spark I saw in its first chapter, either. Sadness. I hope it picks up again in the back half.

It was ok, I guess, but the characters‘ back stories were less convincing than they should have been. #romantsy

Charlie is an anxious, overworked mess - full-time student and barista, co-parent, and amateur musician. He is too busy trying to make up for his past mistakes to worry about enjoying his life. Until he meets Ben, an on-the-rise rockstar who for some reason is interested in him despite his assurances that he has no room in his life for a relationship. Ben is an adorable softy with a penchant for knitting, weaving his way into Charlie's heart.
